Larry Grenadier is perhaps my favorite upright bass player. His tone, time, concept and artistic vision all hit me in the right way. He's a huge inspiration. I did this transcription a few years ago when I'd been doing a lot of work on Broadway shows and felt that I needed to tap back into the source and dig into some fundamentals.

I love where this track falls programmatically on the album - it is the final track after a set of extremely intense music and feels as though these gents get to relax a bit after a hard day of work. Pure joy and swing.
