Two Feet is a song inspired by road trip through the American Southwest. The distance between cities, and the feeling of the wide open sky were so calming. A few months after this trip I started reading the western works of Cormac McCarthy - I couldn't put them down as they described this part of the world so beautifully. The way these books transported me back to this part of the globe was quite comforting (even though the stories were anything but!).

In a lot of ways, this one felt like a return to something familiar - it reminded me of the twelve years I spent playing and writing with East West Quintet. I wanted to make something that would be playable off the bat - a song I could easily bring in some charts to a jam session with friends and hit the ground running. I had a great time playing the Rhodes and guitar solos as well.

I mixed this one myself, and while far from perfect I feel it frames the music effectively. Hoping to get a chance to jam on this one with friends soon.
